GM has declared bankruptcy! Several weeks ago, we advised our legal counsel was ready to file for an 1114 committee to protect the hard-earned benefits of our salaried retirees if bankruptcy occurred. To continue our legal efforts on behalf of salaried retirees, we need everyone’s financial support. Please make your donation NOW to the GM Salaried Retiree Legal Defense Fund and mail your check to the address below. You can make your check out to GMSRLDF if you prefer the shorter version.

If you are not already a member of our association, please register online at http://www.overthehillcarpeople.com/joinnow_new09.htm. We need your membership to have a strong, powerful voice for the GM salaried retiree. On April 24, 2009, we saw first hand the power of united voices when our group joined with the retiree groups of Chrysler, Ford, and Delphi (TNAC) to gain recognition for the automotive salaried retiree in Washington with the Auto Task Force. Your voice has now been heard in Washington as a salaried retiree! If you would like to read more about our group's accomplishments, please visit our web site at www.overthehillcarpeople.com .
Several weeks ago we retained the Chicago law firm of Stahl Cowen Crowley Addis LLC. You may be familiar with this firm, as they recently prevailed on behalf of Chrysler’s salaried retirees by convincing “New Chrysler” to assume Chrysler’s salaried retirees’ obligations. Stahl Cowen has represented far more salaried retiree groups in bankruptcies than any other law firm in the United States. This includes the salaried retirees in the bankruptcies of Chrysler, LLC, Delphi Corporation, Dana Corporation, International Metals (Intermet), FV Steel Corporation, and others. We are pleased to be working with the most experienced law firm in the country in bankruptcy law.
Please join our national GM association and make a donation to our legal defense fund and then forward this message to all GM retirees.
Thank you for your support!
