E-Mail: Part Time Work For GM Retirees
Hi Jack:
I just ran across your web site and decided to contact you. I work for TAC Automotive (Dearborn, Bloomfield Hills & Flint, MI), an automotive contract staffing agency serving OEM and Tier 1 suppliers. I have an outstanding short-term opportunity (6-8 wks) for 12 OEM retirees, particularly from GM. I was hoping that you might be able to get the word out to your recent retirees with engine experience. The position is located in metro Detroit. Details are listed below.
Current short-term assignment to perform competitive review/comparison between OEM engine families: I4, V6, V8 and other OEM engines. Will review teardowns of engines to review subsystems including cylinder heads, blocks, crankshafts, valve train and camshafts including variable valve/cam mechanisms, air induction, fuel injection, exhaust and cooling. Seeking 20 years experience in engine design and release, manufacturing/design process experience and cost reduction and comparative analysis; BSME is preferred. Future projects may require body, chassis and electrical experience.
Great job on your web site! Thank you for taking the time to review my email. Please contact me if there is any way you might be able to assist me.

Hi Jack: I spoke with you via telephone some time ago. I have been working for SPX-EAA for some time now since retiring from General Motors. We do various types of work for several automotive clients including General Motors, Ford, Chrysler and many of the imports. Our primary job is conducting vehicle inspections in the field for these clients. We have service associates scattered all over the country, most of whom have work history with General Motors. At this time we are in need of some associates in Louisiana, Northeast Ohio, Washington, Oregon and Arkansas. If you can help us by forwarding this note to members, we would appreciate it. Anyone who is interested can contact Mark King at the address and telephone number provided in the note. I know that automotive interest is hard to set aside in retirement and some of the members may still feel the need to continue their relationship, albeit on a lower key basis.

Waun, I have a question for you on a opportunity for
for a company in California that performs flooring audits for companies

CSI is looking to expand its operation in Connecticut, Maine, Vermont, New
